Congratulations to all of the runners in Precision Athletica’s first ever Virtual Half Marathon that took place over the weekend of July 4th-5th 2020. Designed as a motivator for people whist in COVID-19 lockdown, it has been great to see so many people jump on board and train under the guidance of Precision Athletica Exercise Physiologist and keen runner, Justin Trang.
The Virtual Half Marathon was designed so that anyone in the world, could register and complete their race from wherever they were based, and we even had an entrant from as far away as Iceland.
On the weekend, the fastest time recorded through our Strava Running Club was 1:37:43 by Megan Hasick, who ran in the Pyrmont area of Sydney. Great job, Megan and all those who followed closely behind. The Top 5 times are shown here.
We’re delighted that we were able to help and encourage so many runners to increase the amount of running that they were doing in isolation or provide a motivating event when all other events were being cancelled.
Along with the run, our Coach Justin also released a series of runner specific videos to support people in training, these can be viewed at any time through the Precision Athletica YouTube channel and include topics such as:
