Growing up on the South Coast, Shona played a variety of sports with a huge passion for Basketball and Soccer. After Relocating to Sydney for University to study exercise science, She understands the importance of high performance and the impact it has on the physical preparation of the athlete in and out of competition.

With a coaching background in Rugby League (Womens, Mens), Premier League Netball, and Basketball. The last 5 years have been spent at Wests Tigers as Head of Performance for the Womens Department. Coaching hundreds of female athletes, she has seen the work that needs to be implemented in ensuring that our up and coming female athletes are prepared both mentally and physically for Elite competition and prevention of injury.

2021 saw her go back to becoming an Athlete where she returned to Womens Waratah League and will be playing NBL1 in 2022. As a Coach and female Athlete, she has an understanding of the effort and workload and training it takes to compete in women’s sport. and how to connect with her athletes. Her philosophy to training is looking at Functional Movement patterns, Landing and plyometrics, and strength training. And understanding the need for Mind, Nutrition and recovery to perform at our best.

Now specialising in Female Athletes, She hopes to help create a change in how we approach and deliver High Performance programs to Athletes and Coaches to ensure we increase performance, educate and assist them into becoming the best athlete they can be before they reach an Elite program.
