Mindflow is an integral part of Precision Athletica’s four-point performance model, focusing on the mental side of performance, including development of self-awareness, managing nerves, building confidence, psyching up and much more.
When you started your athletic career the focus tended to be on the physical components of your sport, mainly due to the fact you were still learning the skills and techniques. As your skill level rises, the Mindflow component becomes more and more important.
Elite athletes tend to be matched physically, and therefore mental readiness and toughness ultimately becomes a major determining factor in the success of an athlete. Sport psychologists work with athletes who are good at what they do and help them to perform even better by developing their mental skills. These mental skills are lifelong tools which can be applied to all areas of your life.
The process is about creating mindful athletes who are aware of their strengths and areas of improvement. As you become more self-aware the next step is to to provide you with mental strategies to help give you that extra edge in performance.
Mindflow is about getting your mind to work for you rather than against you, in order to achieve peak performance. It is about controlling what you can control and letting go of what you cannot, so that you have appropriate focus for successful performance.
